"Nothing happens when you sit at home. I always make it a point to carry a camera with me at all times. I just shoot at what interests me at that moment." (Elliott Erwitt)
"One doesn’t stop seeing. One doesn’t stop framing. It doesn’t turn off and turn on. It’s on all the time.” (Annie Leibovitz)

Tel Aviv, Israel | I travel a lot and always have my camera with me
Why Contemplation? Because manual photography, in my case sometimes also film photography, calms me down. It helps me to decelerate and to focus on a topic, my subject, the scene in front of the camera, nothing else than my photo matters in these moments.
Why Light? Well, see below the etymology of the word "photography". Light is the essence of our workflow in photography. We set our parameters on the camera and on the lens according to the light we have in the scene in front of us. Photography is all about light.
